Recently-single pop princess Britney Spears had a tummy tuck after her second birth, according to her first husband.

Jason Alexander, Britney's childhood sweetheart, told the Sun that she has been working on her physical appearance since the birth of her second child and that surgery is not an unknown quantity to her.

He said: "Britney has to get out there now and be seen to be looking good and so on. She's doing all that. She's been locked down for two years.

"She's had a tummy tuck after the birth of her second child. She's working on all of that. She's worth hundreds of millions – of course she looks good.

"She has the money to have surgery and nutritionists and get her body back. And now she's focused, she is doing it. She's motivated – she just got rid of a man."

Britney has recently split with her second husband and backing dancer Kevin Federline but has been seen out enjoying her new found freedom with celebrity pals Lindsay Lohan and Paris Hilton.
