David Gest, ex-lover of Liza Minnelli, has admitted on this year's ITV series of I'm A Celebrity Get Me Out Of Here that he has had plastic surgery.

The peculiar looking US celebrity and music producer, who is currently undergoing messy divorce proceedings with ex-wife Minnelli, admitted to having a nose job.

He told Myleene Klass, the foxy young British musician and lads' mag regular, that he had the operation over 20 years ago.

The caterpillar-eyebrowed star said: "I had one nose job, it was 1980."

Myleene proved to be very understanding, however, telling Gest "you don't have to justify it. If you want to have ten…it's your body".

When questioned over whether his showbiz pal Michael Jackson had undergone too many procedures Gest did admit plastic surgery can go too far saying "absolutely".

The 53-year-old star has already admitted to hunger pangs but observers of the show will be reassured by Gest's hunger-gatherer instincts. Despite not lifting a finger in camp, he was overhead to moan to fellow contestants "I want fruit. I want to find a tree with oranges. I'm starving".
