Collins denies plastic surgery

Joan Collins has refuted claims that she has undergone plastic surgery.

The 72-year-old actress was responding to accusations by plastic surgeon, Alex Karidis, that she showed signs of plastic surgery when they met last year.

"I clearly saw the scars behind her ears indicating a facelift. I saw that she had also had her eyes lifted. I would say she has had this done in the last five years," he said.

However, the former Dynasty actress, claims that her only anti-ageing treatment is her makeup.

She told US television: "The most glamorous thing you can do is use lipstick."

In the past she has publicly denounced the use of cosmetic surgery, stating, according to Life Style Extra: "Everyone should do what they want. If they want lips like a trout let them. Plastic surgery is the plain women's revenge."

Ms Collins is currently promoting her new book, the Art Of Living Well.
