UK cosmetic surgery magazine launched
The first magazine to offer advice to people contemplating cosmetic surgery has been released in the UK.
Cosmetic Surgery Answers, published by Excite Publishing, is an online magazine that aims to provide guidance and information for people thinking of undertaking a cosmetic procedure or those who have recently had one.
Topics such as choosing the right surgeon and opportunities for operations abroad are among those tackled in the first issue.
"There are currently no magazines available to readers in the UK that concentrate solely on demystifying cosmetic surgery," said Lynda Burgess, editor of the magazine.
"We aim to fill that gap, and above all, provide a lively, independent and informative read. Every issue will be packed with the best coverage of the latest trends in cosmetic surgery."
John Weir, Cosmetic Surgery Answer's publisher, expects around 15,000 people to download the first issue, and adds that the publication has also received interest from countries such as Australia and the USA.
It is thought that around 130,000 people underwent cosmetic surgery in 2005.
